Waiting for William

My mom is an amazing woman, living in God's grace.
During my last visit we talked about the arrival of this new baby. She encouraged me as a mother (as always). She also reminded me that my heart needed to prepare for the changes that are about to take place in our home. I left ready to switch gears from pregnancy to baby-mode. God gave her just the right words to say. I thought I would be caring for her, but there she was, still caring for me.

My mom always enjoyed baby clothes; before she had children, special outfits on her children, and just looking at the tiny clothes in stores remembering how a baby feels in her arms. During the last weeks of my pregnancy with Genevieve my mom and I found this sweet little blue onesie. She bought it for me and it was so soft on my little blue-eyed baby. Now it will be for William from Mema when he arrives. Here she is with his tiny clothes, waiting for him to make an appearance. The photo was at my request (she is such a good sport). I know she would much rather have a photo with the baby in the onesie, in her arms.

 And his little jacket.
Thank you mom! Hopefully you will get to see him soon.

July 2 Girls with Mema

These photos are from our visit at the beginning of July. Mom was feeling well enough to sit up and wheel around the house. Here the girls are taking advantage of the time for a sitting-up-hug with Mema.

John thinks its hilarious that I can't see my feet and took these photos on our walk home from the playground.

I don't know what he's talking about. I can see my feet.

New Bed

We got a new small loft bed for Genevieve and shortened Genevieve's twin for Jane. (yes -for those that know us well- all made possible by IKEA) Now the girls' room has three beds for three sisters and still plenty of floor space.

 Jane in her "new" bed.
John moved the shelf up to accommodate the new loft.
Genevieve's new bed complete with new chest of drawers and a reading area for all 3. (It is now full of pillows for more comfortable reading)
Rachel's bed and Jane's bed and chest of drawers.

Jane Has Arrived

Jane is a big girl now. She walks down the stairs by herself, wears underpants and sleeps in a big-girl bed.

No need to be concerned, Jane. I know you are still the baby doing all these big girl things.
Jane still points to herself and says "Baby." with this expression on her face. She then points to my belly and says "iyum." (William) I'll let you know how it goes when she actually sees the baby.

Dancing and Bubble Bath

The girls love to dance. Whenever I turn music on, I hear "Wait! Can I put a dress-up on?" And then the performance begins.

 Rachel leaping
Jane running with a baby. (all activities should include a baby in Jane's mind)
 Genevieve jumping

Time to clean-up in a bubble bath. I think they had a pretty fun day.

Bathroom Remodel

John finished remodeling the bathroom just before my due date. He does wonderful work (in my opinion). Here is a photo of his tidy plumbing:
